I am in the constant search of something to alleviate my dark under eye circles. I've mentioned before that I have panda eyes. And they're not cute.
Of course, it's not convenient to pile on the concealer every time I put my make up on. Not to mention concealers crease and makes one look older.
So I've tried The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream (around Php 1,200). Whew, that was a long one. It promises two things: brightens eye area; and reduces the appearance or signs of fatigue.
It comes in a white tube, and the product comes out in a metal nozzle applicator which is cool, literally, especially if you stick it in the fridge. This is the best thing about this eye cream. And, really, nothing beats putting something cold on your under eye area after a long day's work.
I've been using this product for more than a couple months now. I actually think it's working. It's not drastic as to completely eradicate my dark under eye circles, but they lessened quite a bit. I do believe they look "brighter."
Also, the formulation is creamy but lightweight. It's moisturizing, but not in a sticky, icky kind of way which makes it fantastic to use under make up. As a matter of fact, I apply a very generous amount of this when I know I'm going to put make up on. Once the skin absorbs the product, I put on concealer and it doesn't crease as much and settle into the fine lines under my eyes.
This has become an essential part of my skin care routine. But that is due to the fact that I am hesitant to buy another eye cream until I finish this one. Would I recommend this? Yes, but to those who don't have under eye circles as bad as mine. Would I repurchase this? I think not, I'd like to try other eye creams next time.
